Get That Look:Demi Lovato

Hi Everyone!!!!
This is going to be my first Get That Look segment that I will be starting. I will take any random celebrity or any requested celebrity and try to recreate their look using inexpensive clothing. The clothing will be from websites, retail stores or maybe even thrift stores. I will try to get the exact look although minor details may be excluded.

So the first celebrity I'm going to do is Demi Lovato. In the photo she looks like she is going for a night out but is still casual. You can wear this look going out or even just going to the shops.

So the first thing is minor detail and doesn't have to be added. Underneath her baggy shirt she has a black bra.I'm going to link this one but the rest will be pictures. This bra has thin straps and a not much overexposing cup colour so it would be perfect if you were going for this look.It is a bit pricey but there is a deal going on right now on this website.

Demi's necklace is a bit hard to see but it looks like a chain necklace. I found this necklace on the Claire's website and thought it looked like what Demi was wearing.

Demi's shirt is wearing an oversized white t-shirt with a very light graphic design on it. I found this Forever 21 shirt that has a sketched design of an owl.It is $15.90 and perfect for this style.

Her belt is black and has a some kind of  design. She wears it around her waist to keep her oversized t-shirt sinched in. I've decided to go with this metallic belt also from Forever 21. It is $8.80 and perfect for this look.

The bag that Demi is wearing was quite difficult to get something inexpensive and similar. But it did manage to find a great on at Claire's again. This gorgeous bag is only $9.00 and has an awesome charm by the side.

Demi looks like she is wearing leather tights so I found a pair from Supre. They are faux leather look tights and look absolutely gorgeous on. They really flatter Demi's figure and they will flatter yours too. At $25 these are a steal.

Demi's shoes were hard to get cheap. I ended up going on Styletread.com to get them. The shoes are expensive at $145 but match Demi's style and will pull off the look completely.

Halloween Fever

 

 Halloween is coming in a few days and although we don't celebrate it here in Australia it's fun to get into the spirit. When I was a kid I always had a mix of excitement and nervousness mainly because of the teenage boys down the street (one year they egged part of our house). 

The main part of Halloween is the costumes. There have been lots and lots of inappropriate,funny and just plain weird costumes. Some people go all out while most just go for the plain old ghost,pirate,witch ect. A while ago my family held a Halloween party and my twin cousins, only 18 months dressed up as little bees. 

My personal favourite part of Halloween was the cooking. Making chocolate spiders, dark chocolate coated cherries, ghost cookies and graveyard cupcakes. Every year we would think of crazy ideas that we could turn into yummy masterpieces. This year I will be trying Pumpkin Cookie Balls from Whipped the Blog.

I haven't got much plans for Halloween this year but please don't be afraid to tell me what you are doing or did. I am also sorry for the lack of posting. I promise I will post a few more entries in November.

Maybelline New York Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner Review

Hi Everyone!!! Sorry I haven't posted for AGES!! I've been on camp and came back Saturday night and have basically been sleeping since. I had a great time with my friends and I loved every minute of it.

Anyway today I am going to do a review. It's my second review the first being on the Rimmel London Royal Gloss. Expect some more reviews to come as my parents have finally allowed me to buy things online.

Ok, so to start off I will tell you how I got it. I was up at the beach reading my magazine when I saw a coupon for a free Maybelline NY Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner. Since it was free and normally valued at $16.95 I happily went to  the local Priceline store and handed in the coupon. There wasn't too much drama into getting the eyeliner. They just had to ring up the manager and asked if they were one of the selected stores. It turned out they were so I got to choose between two colours;Blackest Black and Brown.I chose blackest black as I didn't think brown would suit me.

This eyeliner comes with it's own brush to use. They say to keep it well kept and clean. The gel eyeliner itself comes in a little case much like MAC paint pots. It has a decent amount of eyeliner in it and I was quite impressed by the packaging.

This would be by far the best eyeliner I've tried so far. It glides on easily and stays on for a very long time.
Just be careful as you put it on as it smudges VERY easily. It is great because I don't have to keep applying it over and over again. One of the bad things about this product though is that it never seems to come off. The next morning I still have black eyes from trying to get the product off. The only thing that does get it off is a heavy dosing of make-up remover.

Overall I would recommend this eyeliner but to only wear it on special occasions or nighttime. It is very dark and takes a while to come off. For $16.95 I wouldn't have tried it but now I will be happy to pay full price.

For us in Australia the spring holidays are nearly over. And of course I've left everything to the last minute and I need a new Usb and 3 exercise books for the last term. My old Usb got a virus from our school computers (which have now been fixed) and it resulted in me and a few others in my class having to get a new usb. My Nail Polish Explosion

Everybody has their bad days right? Well I had mine a few days ago.
We were going out shopping and I was rushing to get ready. I was in the hotel bathroom desperately searching for a band-aid on the bench. Just as I pulled my hand back from looking, the nail polish on the edge of the bench got knocked over. Yep, it shattered all over my feet and legs. I got away with only a little bit of glass in my foot but it only left a sore. The thing I was most worried about was that the nail polish might dry on the hotel floor. We might've had to pay for it. Luckily we got it all wiped up and my fingernails on the right hand are the only reminder of the incident.They are red with shiny purple/silver splotches(the colour of the shattered nail polish). It may not sound that bad but it is when the bill could have come out to $5000-$15000!
